What Is Teeth Whitening?

Redemption Dental Frisco teeth whitening is inexpensive and fast. Most patients choose to only whiten the top teeth, but some choose to whiten both upper and lower teeth. This varies from patient to patient, depending on their smile and how much is revealed of the tooth and gum line. You and our dentist will discuss the options during your appointment.

Safely Brighten Your Smile

Custom bleach splints only require a few days to create. A bleaching agent will be added to the clear splints. You will wear your mouth splints for the recommended length of time each day. The bleaching agents will bubble the stains out of the enamel of your teeth. This process is quick and does not alter the integrity of the tooth. This process only requires a short period of time and should only be repeated occasionally to maintain the new smile look.

At Redemption Dental Frisco, teeth whitening is used to correct your tooth discoloration. Often discoloration can be caused by staining, age, beverages, or chemicals that have damaged your teeth. Our whitening technology at Redemption Dental Frisco offers each patient a time-sensitive and safe process toward their beautiful smile. Further treatments such as a crown or veneers could be necessary for extreme discoloration. Our dentist still recommends our low-cost whitening treatment as the most effective first line of treatment.

Our Teeth Whitening Procedure

The first step for teeth whitening involves making an individualized “mouthguard,” sometimes referred to as a “stent.” This stent will hold the bleaching agent in contact with your tooth surface for the entire session of treatment. Our dentist will recommend that you repeat this process nightly for approximately 3-4 hours over a period of approximately 14 to 21 days.

Once complete, the treatment will have noticeably whitened your teeth. In most patients, we see a brilliant level of whitening in their smile. Teeth whitening will result in a dramatic increase in confidence in your appearance and happiness with your smile. For some complex yellowing, aging, or deep staining, a dental crown or dental veneers could be a more adequate treatment for your oral health.

Professional Teeth Whitening

Our dentist Dr. Amy Sojourner-Critz is confident in the highly effective difference in our bleaching agents as opposed to any over-the-counter ones found in a local pharmacy. Many of these products end up harming your gum line and teeth. We know it’s better to use the products we recommend specifically.
